Help for Left-brained Businesses

Does your business need a new product to make, sell or distribute?

Our SBDCEE performs free assessments that predict the readiness of management teams to create and implement new product or service ideas. The assessments we’ve performed this year indicate the majority of business owners and managers have a left-brain thinking style … very logical, sequential and analytical.

Growing a business, especially during a recession, requires some right-brain activity. Right-brain people are random, intuitive and creative.

I have good news. There is a new web site that will provide you ideas for revenue growth, no matter which side of the brain you lean. The new products and technologies listed on the USA National Innovation Marketplace are available for you to license, distribute or manufacture.

This new resource, can be found at http://usainnovation.planeteureka.org/marketplace/usa/. Use of the web site is free. Simply register your name and a password, then use the site’s search engine to find products that match your interests.

Our SBDCEE specializes in helping entrepreneurs and business owners create sustainable businesses. If you have an idea to post on the Innovation Marketplace or found a product on the site that excites you, give us a call at 817-272-5930 or e-mail tpryor@uta.edu. We’ll help you define next steps.

And if you are interested in identifying your team’s right-brain or left-brain Thinking Style, send us an e-mail.
