Current interest rates are 3% APR (4/24/09). Loans are repaid through energy cost savings. Projects must have an average payback of 10 years or less.
What about the Memorial Day Weekend Sales Tax Holiday for Energy-Efficient Products? Eligible Efficiency Technologies are: Dishwashers, Dehumidifiers, Ceiling Fans, Lighting, Air conditioners, Programmable Thermostats and Clothes Washers.
Is the Property Tax Exemption for Renewable Energy Systems on your radar?The Texas property tax code allows an exemption of the amount of the appraised property value increase that arises from the installation or construction of a solar or wind-powered energy device that is primarily for the production and distribution of thermal, mechanical, or electrical energy for on-site use, or devices used to store that energy. “Solar” is broadly defined to include a range of biomass technologies.
