Human Resources: tools and tips
Tyler Pierson, Administaff Area Manager, will target HR tools and tips uncovered in a recent survey of Small Businesses. Human Resouces can be a scary, dangerous and overwhelming topic… from staying on top of taxes to avoiding/handing sexual harassment charges. Also, how do YOU (the small business) provide benefits to compete with the BIG CORPORATIONS?

For the past 14 years, Tyler Pierson has worked in sales and sales management in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for Administaff, Inc., which serves as a full-service human resources (HR) department for America’s best small and medium-sized businesses. During that time, he has hired, trained and mentored dozens of sales consultants and district managers in the area – and around the country – for many of Administaff’s 52 sales offices nationwide.
Prior to joining Administaff, Tyler owned several small businesses, including dry cleaning, car washing and gaming. He developed an interactive arcade game that earned him a two-year tour with the Team Roping Circuit in the early ’90s. Tyler also holds a patent for a product he invented while in the cleaning industry.
In his spare time, Tyler is an avid reader and is currently writing a book, Untyed, which tells his life’s stories of reaching goals, losing inhibitions, balancing work and life and having fun while doing it all. “Humor in life is as important as breathing,” Tyler says, which should make Untyed a fun read for all.
While most see today’s economy as a challenge or even an outright threat, Administaff and their clients see it the same way America’s best entrepreneurs see it – as a unique opportunity to build upon their success. If you want to move ahead in 2009 while others stands still or fall behind, you need to do things your competition won’t do, can’t do, or hasn’t even thought of doing. Administaff can help you do that is by focus intensely on profit-generating activities, capitalize on new opportunities and reduce your company’s operating expense.
